Paris Carney
Paris Carney is an LA-based songwriter, artist, and vocal producer who has explored more roles and genres throughout her career than one can count. Initially leaving jazz school in NYC to join the Interscope-signed band CARNEY with her brothers Reeve (of Broadway’s Spiderman and Hadestown) and guitar virtuoso Zane (John Mayer), Paris later went on to have a career as a successful solo artist (Paris Carney, O’neill Hudson) and dabbled in singing backing vocals for the likes of the Jonas Brothers, Hailee Steinfeld, and Lykke Li.
Now focused on writing for outside projects, Paris is excellent with concepts, melody, lyrics, and is a strong ally for artists to help unlock their authentic voice. Her latest releases include the Nick Jonas x King global smash “Maan Meri Jaan (Afterlife)”, Rachel Grae’s “Daughter”, and the indie outfit meija’s title track “Do Ya?”. Additionally, Paris is very proud of her development work with Maggie Lindemann (10+ cuts including her biggest solo single to date “She Knows It” and Maggie’s Chase Atlantic feature “OHMAMI”).
“I absolutely love the craft and connection that songwriting brings,” says Carney. “It’s a gift to turn love, joy, heartbreak, and even grief into something tangible and healing.”
Paris’ other cuts include Sofia Carson‘s “LOUD”, Adam Lambert’s “New Eyes”, JOSEPH’s “Half Truths”, Casey Bishop’s single “Don’t Talk!” (co-written with WILLOW), Rebecca Black’s singles “Worth It For The Feeling”, “Personal”, and “Sweetheart”, Brynn Elliott’s “Terrified” (which she also vocal produced), as well as releases with Bea Miller, Victoria Justice, TEN&YANGYANG(WAY-V), and Jordan McGraw among others. Recent and frequent collaborations include Joe Jonas, JAWNY, Astrid S, Jamie Sierota (Echosmith), Lily Williams, Carly Rae Jepsen, GRAMMY-winner Abigail Barlow, and many more.
