Lachlan “Lucky” West is an Australian-born producer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who grew up on the beaches outside Sydney. Before settling in the studio, he was an artist and session musician who performed on many records, television shows and onstage with artists such as The Vines, Walk The Moon, Dean Lewis, Guy Sebastian, The Griswolds, DREAMERS, Foxy Shazam, X Factor (Australia) to name a few. During his time as an artist, he was fortunate enough to learn from established songwriters and producers, spending months working alongside Tony Hoffer, Andrew Dawson and Eric J Dubowsky before lending his talents to other artists and musical projects. Thanks to his eclectic musical up-bringing, he has found himself at home working within a wide range of genres spanning from Indie to Punk Rock to Pixar Pop to K-pop. However, nothing drives him like trying to make music that will live in a listener’s record collection forever. His songwriting and producing career has earned him credits with artists and projects including Lindsey Stirling, Walk Off The Earth, Story Of The Year, Royal & The Serpent, Jagwar Twin, Walk The Moon, The Griswolds, Foxy Shazam, Weathers, Yorke, Luna Aura, SixTONES, CHANYEOL (of EXO), Inside Out 2, and Disney Lofi.
