Rose, a platinum-selling songwriter and vocalist hailing from Los Angeles, has left an indelible mark on the music industry. A master of melody, she infuses ’90s and aughts vibes into her pop and R&B creations, collaborating with cutting-edge artists like BoA, Nas, Steve Lacy, Dom Kennedy, Koreatown Oddity, and Syd on her debut album “Fin” and sophomore album “Broken Hearts Club”. Rose’s journey began in her family’s Filipino restaurant, where she became a karaoke sensation as a young performer. By age 13, she was already writing songs and performing nationwide, winning competitions at the Apollo Theater. After high school, she secured an internship at Tyrese Gibson’s production company, exposing her to top-notch studios and seasoned songwriters and producers.
Her first placement ever, “Damaged” by Danity Kane is RIAA certified platinum and was top 10 on the Billboard Charts. This led to Rose’s songwriting credits expanding to include gospel singers, K-pop stars, and emerging artists. Rose’s influence extends to artist development and songwriter advocacy, making her a multifaceted industry force. She is the Founder of Mono Stereo Groove (MSG), a community of music creatives that represent the Asian diaspora. With a rich portfolio of achievements and boundless potential, Rose continues to support artists, explore different sounds and break new grounds as a songwriter on Disney Jr.’s animated series, Ariel. Rose says “To be part of a legacy Disney franchise is such a dream come true especially for the little girl in me who loved Disney growing up”.
